This exams are organised at Prometric Test Centers. You can give it at any of your prefered timing.
You have to register yourself at prometric center before 3 days of taking exams
In ahemdeabad as per my information IIHT, NIIT have authoriesed prometric centers..

My area of interest is OCP 10G on development track. Moreover type of syllabii covered in the exam
Comment by Dhaval — July 19, 2007 @ 4:26 pm |
As of now OCP 10g Development track is not available. in 10g only DBA track is provided by Oracle Education.
however as far as develpement track is concerned there will be very less changes between Oracle9i and 10g b’coze with new releases SQL and PL/SQL gets very less changes, only Adminstration parts get major changes.
so you can look forward for OCP9i Development Track.
Syllabus of same can be viewed at

What are different types of OCA exams & papers ?
(like database / developer )
if i am outside ahmedabad then when & where can i give this exam?
Comment by Mehul Bhavsar — November 16, 2007 @ 2:11 pm |
Hi pradeep,
For OCA 10g there is no prerequisite.
However after completing OCA if u want to clear OCP, u need to undergo atleast one course at Oracle University or any oracle affiliated training institute
Comment by sandipdavda — January 2, 2008 @ 11:39 am |
Hi Mehul,
If u are going on Oracle 9i there are many tracks like,
1. DBA
2. Oracle Form Developer
3. Oracle Web Developer
4. Oracle Report Developer,etc.
in Oracle 10g right now only DBA track is available
For more details u can visit

Hi!
Your links to the “Oracle 10g Study Material” are dead. It would be very nice, if you can make that stuff available again.
Is it true that one need to pass an OCA befor one can do the OCP?
No way to go directly OCP?

hi,
Please refer to following links for Oracle 10g books and dumps.
http://www.esnips.com/web/OracleMat10
Yes OCA is first level. after giving first paper – ORA 10g DBA -1 you will become OCA.
after that you have to undergo 1 training at oracle recognized education center, and then give second paper to become OCP.
there are no short cuts to success…
